1. The Call to
Order was by President, David Wells.
2. The Invocation was given by Chaplain Virgil
Ellis.

3. Pledge to
the flags: Members and Their

4. The members and guests were introduced.
5. AncestorÕs Roll Call: (Introduction of
Members–Including Guests).
Brief remarks were made about the qualifying ancestors were given by the
members and guests.
6. New Members: (Membership Chairman,
Russell Leavens): Three new
members were announced, Glenn Melton Barnett of Graham, Texas; Donald Ray
Crowell of Huntington Beach, California; Douglas Crowell, N. Richland Hills,
Texas.
7. The introduction of Program was done by
Chapter President David Wells

8. Appreciation remarks
were given to Donald Goodman and the announcement of his status established as
Officer Ereritus by Chapter President David Wells.
9. Minutes of the
February 7, 2009 meeting were approved.
10. TreasurerÕs
Report was prepared by Donald Goodman, Treasurer: Balance on February 6, 2009 was $3719.52, expenses and
income was detailed, the balance on April 3, 2009 was $ 3,784.48.
11. Old Business was discussed which related to the
Convention:
A. Annual
SRT Convention, Boerne, March 20-22, 2009 highlights were: It was attended
by: President General Vaughn &
Janiece Oliver; N.C. Texas District Representative Duane Blair; David &
Kathy Wells; Russell Leavens; Albert & Bonnie DeLeon; Virgil Ellis, and
Gerry Geiger.
B. Educator of the Year: Mr. Barton Brent Truitt,
Plano ISD. Nominated by Ch. 36.
C. District Representative of the Year was our own
Duane Blair

12. New Business: a plaque was given to Don Goodman for his years of dedicated
service to the Chapter. Duane
Blair gave made the presentation.
13.
Announcements:
A. The Stephen F. Austin tree
planting is at the Thomas Jefferson Nash Farm, 626 Ball St, Grapevine at Noon
today
B. Ninth Ann. Battle of San
Jacinto Symposium, April 18, 2009, 9 am - 5 pm. Hilton Hotel & Conference
Center, Univ. of Houston
